John Hylton, PhD, SHARE Co-Investigator

The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health has just started a research project looking at behaviors related to anal sex (among men and women) and we need volunteers. The project is called the Microbicide Development Project (MDP). The overall goal of the project is to develop a rectal microbicide, a gel or foam that will help prevent HIV infection from anal sex. The study involves only one clinic visit. You will be asked confidential questions about your sexual behavior and several lab tests will also be performed including; Rapid HIV testing using oral fluids, blood draws for HIV Please contact the Project Coordinator, confirmatory, and Syphilis testing, and urine collection Ms. Yasmeen Long at to test for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia.
