Delegations The Council delegates to the Committee the following functions and powers to enable the Committee to achieve the specific responsibilities: a) Development and approval of the Manaaki Toiora action plan. b) Management and oversight of the development and engagement on the Manaaki Toiora Strategy, which will replace the Council’s Social Strategy and Economic Development Strategy. Make recommendations to the Council for adoption of the Manaaki Toiora Strategy. c) To receive and review reports and presentations from Council staff and community groups and make recommendations to the Council. d) Authority to approve expenditure up to $5,000 per project within the existing approved Community Growth budget subject to reporting the expenditure to the next Council meeting. e) To make recommendations to the Council on the allocation of the Social Strategy Fund which will be used to promote the goals of the Hauraki District Council Social Strategy. f) To review and recommend to the Council the proposed Manaaki Toiora Activity and the proposed budget for the inclusion in the draft 2021-31 Long Term Plan for consultation with the community. MTC21/03 Milner/Wilkinson CARRIED PRESENTATION – HAURAKI INFORMATION SERVICES - 2884213 Eddie Morrow provided a presentation on the operations of the Waihi i-SITE and Paeroa Information Hub. The presentation provided an overview of understanding the value of visitors, delivering positive community outcomes, the current challenges and opportunities information services face and how they saw information services moving forward into the future. PAEROA INFORMATION HUB REPORT - 2881491 Paeroa Information Hub Manager, Mike Tansey attended and presented the quarterly report to December 2020 on the activities of the Information Hub.
