Coaches Regulations Rome Rome 2019 Entry Permits into Rome 2019 Here you will find all the necessary information regarding the access regulations from the 01.01.2019 of the city of Rome. From now on, the innermost zone C (historical center) will be added to the original ZTL bus zones A and B. Here, with a few exceptions, no coaches may enter. At the same time, the number of adjacent parking spaces is to be increased. The access restrictions apply in the three zones 24 hours, 7 days a week including holidays. In addition, parking at the Colosseum and access to the Vatican will be reorganized. VATICAN Access to the Vatican Zone is only possible from Monday to Sunday with a prior special permit and reservation, with a limited number of Permessi of type B1-2-3-4 (see below, p. 5). Permits are valid either in the morning until 1:30 pm or in the afternoon from 1:30 pm. Each permit (Permesso) includes a parking space, as well as one or more stops to let the passengers drop-off and pick-up. Outside the zone of the Vatican these are valid as normal Permesso B (ATTENTION! Area Colosseum excluded). If you have an invitation from Vatican City (invitation must be shown!), You do not need to register and can pass the ZTL A and ZTL B zones without entry permission (but without any intermediate stops!) and enter the Vatican City. COLOSSEUM Also around the Colosseum there will be a regulation valid from Monday to Sunday, which requires special permits and a pre-booking. Here too, only a certain number of permits of type B5 (see below, p. 7) will be issued. The majority of these permits provide access to the Colosseum and the Vatican area (B51 - B52 - B53 - B54). Each permit is associated with a parking space and one or more entry and exit areas for passengers in the Colosseum area (ATTENTION! San Gregorio stop isn’t available!). The entry and exit areas must be booked at the time of reservation of the permit and are within 30min. interval clocked. Also, the exact time of boarding and disembarking must be specified when booking. Outside the Colosseum and the Vatican, these permits are considered A and B permits, they allow short (15 minutes), hourly and long stops in the licensed areas. Further information on the individual permits can be found below (page 4). 1 Rome 2019 ZTL bus zone C (historic city center) From 01.01.2019, coaches may enter the city center (ZTL C) only with a special permit C. This allows access for max. 60 minutes in the following cases: • transport of primary school students on school excursions- organized by the Institute- towards the tourist interest sites located inside the C ZTL Bus (max 30 vehicles per day) • moving towards the hotels equipped with at least 40 rooms located in the C ZTL Area (max 30 vehicles per day, until sold out) • transport of disabled passengers travelling on board-equipped-coaches (wheelchair lift required) and they also required a special circulation permits Permit C can be requested online (at no additional cost) when purchasing a Day permit B, at least 5 working days prior to arrival. ZTL C 2 Rome 2019 Price 2019 (*Price changes reserved) Buses Euro0 - Euro1 - Euro2 - Euro3 may not enter the city (ZTL A/ZTL B). Busses Euro3 with particle filter are allowed to enter the city (ZTL A/ZTL B) with a surcharge of 90% on the normal price of the permits. (ATTENTION! We can send you the reserved bus permits by e-mail, so that you can print them in advance and do not need to loose time at Checkpoint, but just enter the City, by exposing the Permit. Please send your request at least 20 days in advance via email to [email protected]. You have also to tell us the licence plate, the size of the vehicle and EURO Norm the bus has. In order to register your bus in Rome (if it has never been to Rome before), we also require a copy of the ID of the Buscompanies CEO and a copy of the vehicle registration certificate. We will forward your information confidentially to the relevant company ATAC - ROMAMOBILITA which is responsible for the entry permits in Rome. Once the entry permits and the bus number have been confirmed and printed/sent to you, no further free changes or cancellations can be made, as there will be 100% cancellation fee. Attention: Entry Permits (Permessi) MUST be printed in colour and NOT black and white! Handling Fee GADIS will additionally charge a handling fee on the price of entry permits, if the entry permits is provided without other services through GADIS (e.g. tour guide, hotel, restaurant). Walls) It is also allowed to pick-up and drop-off the passengers in the Vatican area and in addition to use the long-term parking in the specified Vatican areas (until 1.30 pm or from 1.30 pm).     Ponti di Roma I ponti di Roma scavalcarono il Tevere quando ormai Roma si era impossessata stabilmente della riva sinistra del fiume; infatti fino a quel momento, per ragioni difensive, non si era ritenuto conveniente costruire ponti che potenzialmente potevano essere utilizzati dal nemico per entrare in città. Anche quando furono costruiti, i primi ponti erano realizzati in legno, proprio per poter essere distrutti in caso di attacco nemico. Solo quando i Romani si sentirono sicuri del loro potere, iniziarono a costruire ponti di pietra. Diversi degli antichi ponti romani ormai non esistono più, mentre altri ne sono stati creati per le moderne esigenze della città contemporanea. Altri ponti scavalcano il fiume Aniene. Nel 2012 sono terminati i lavori per la costruzione del nuovo ponte posto tra Ponte dell'Industria (detto Ponte di Ferro) e Ponte Marconi: il Ponte della Scienza. Sempre nel 2012 è stato inaugurato un nuovo ponte - o per meglio dire un cavalcaferrovia, essendo sospeso sulle ferrovie della metropolitana B e sulle ferrovie del tratto che collega la stazione Cristoforo Colombo alla stazione Roma Porta san Paolo (ferrovia Roma-Lido) - sull'Ostiense, che è intitolato a Settimia Spizzichino, unica donna sopravvissuta al rastrellamento del ghetto di Roma del 16 ottobre 1943. Ponti romani sul Tevere L'antico ponte è oggi scomparso. Si trovava a Antico ponte valle dell'Isola Tiberina, dopo il ponte Emilio. Era il Sublicio ponte legato agli eroici avvenimenti di cui fu protagonista Orazio Coclite. Oggi conosciuto come ponte Rotto: probabilmente risalente alla metà del III secolo a.C., ricostruito nel 179 a.C.

The second section, which constitutes the major portion of the directory, contains individual country reports for 60 countries. Each country,s section contains a general description of the country and its provisions for education and services, listings of governmental agencies with definite mental retardation responsibilities, voluntary organizations, research institutes and programs, serial and other publications, and brief descriptive notes on program areas (case finding, diagnosis and assessment, consultation to parents, education, work training and employment, medical care, residential carer financial assistance, recreation, research, personnel trainin planning), and other information for visitors interested in mental retareltion. Ever since 1945 and Roberto Rossellini’s - Open City, given the circumstances, post war Italian directors had no other choice but to film outdoors, on real squares and streets. The Cinecittà studios had been bombed out during the war and budgets were insufficient to hire other Studios. But neorealism became famous the world over and, even later, never reverted to conventional production methods again, but continued to work on “location” rather than in Studios. This new system of production was also adopted by a considerable part of the American motion picture industry. From the Fifties on, many directors started preferring the banks of the Tiber to the wealth of Hollywood. Truly,it can be said that it all started with William Wyler’s Roman Holidays. Rome had undoubtedly bewitched the motion pictures. So squares and Cinquecento palaces, Trastevere’s narrow streets, barges on the Tiber, but also Rome’s new suburbs turned 1 into natural settings of numberless Italian and foreign films, the from the post-war days to the present.
