Sparkle Mission Shiksha.Pdf MISSION SHIKSHA अ न दानं महा दानं व या दानं मह तरम ् | अ नेन णक तृि तः याव जीवन तु व यया || "The gift of food is great indeed, but the gift of knowledge is paramount. While satisfaction gained from food is only temporary, knowledge can bring lifetime satisfaction". Feeding the hungry is a great thing. But the one fed feels hunger again and again later. It is not a permanent solution. But if you teach a man how to feed himself for the rest of his life, that would be the greatest service indeed, for he now knows what to do so as not to be a bur- den. Keeping this noble aim in mind Mr. Jagdish Halai,, chairman of HJD Institute of Tech- nical Education and Research, Kera through his Mission Shiksha initiative took great care to ensure “Vidya Daanam”- 'The Gift of Education'. • Review of Literature
Chapter 2 REVIEW OF LITERATURE Review of Literature Review of Literature Clothing reflects about one’s membership in a culture and of the many groups he/ she belongs or relates to within a culture. Costumes forms an important element amongst all the cultural expressions defining one’s identity in India. Eicher writes ethnic dress is a notable aspect of ethnicity. Again, Claus and Korom states that a folkloristic or an ethnographic study includes the study of culture, history and psychology. These represent the three fundamental dimensions in which expression exists. What forms and shapes any expression is the past (history, tradition), the outer context (Culture) and the inner motivation (psychology). And there are always other pertinent lines of inquiry- political structure, economics, geography and others (Claus P. and Korom F.,1991: 41). Therefore, the present chapter aims to take a preliminary glimpse of the factors coming under the purview of the subject under study. 2.1. Theoretical review 2.1.1.
