Discrète dans sa vie quotidienne, l’actrice enchaîne les projets pour Netflix, la télé et se prépare à sortir un livre autobiographique. Portrait de Guillaume Gesret et Anne-Laure Lemancel, publié dans Canal n°285, janvier - février 2020. À 72 ans, Firmine Richard n’a pas l’intention de prendre sa retraite. Elle s’apprête en effet à tourner la deuxième saison de la série Mortel diffusée sur Netflix et à publier un livre, aux éditions Michel Lafon, dans lequel elle se raconte. Les téléspectateurs de TF1 la verront également ce mois-ci dans l’émission Stars à nu qui sensibilise le grand public à la lutte contre le cancer. « Je reste active parce que j’ai la chance d’exercer un métier qui n’est pas pénible, mais les gens ont raison de protester pour réclamer une retraite décente et pas trop tardive. Je sais de quoi je parle : j’ai travaillé à la RATP et j’ai vu ma mère trimer aux PTT, faisant des allers-retours dans le RER. » Une vie qui bascule Firmine Richard n’a pas oublié d’où elle vient et confie qu’elle fuit les mondanités.
