($350) PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES: Academic Appointments: Lecturer University of Delaware, Human Development and Family Studies Department, (2016) Research: Co-Investigator Building Early Links for Learning, People’s Emergency Center, Villanova University, Villanova University, & University of Delaware. (2016-Present). Project funded by the William Penn Foundation. Responsibilities: Serve as the lead investigator for the evaluation of the self-assessment tool for use in shelters. Lead Research Assistant Parents and Children Together, University of Delaware, Rutgers University, & Villanova University (PACT). (2014-Present). Responsibilities: Serve as a lead graduate research assistant for the PACT project. Assist with overall implementation including recruitment, data collection, and data management for a city-wide evaluation of parenting intervention programs in Philadelphia’s emergency and transitional housing programs. Provides support on a number of projects related to evaluation of education and social welfare programs including developing literature reviews, data entry, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and written reports. Emotion Health Lab. (2011-2013). Responsibilities: Conducted research on the development of disgust. Responsible for data collection, and data analysis. Completed thesis ‘Using Odor to Understand Disgust in Autism’. Research Assistant/Intern Nemours Health and Prevention Services. (2013) Responsibilities: Assisted with literature review for the empirically supported PEDS developmental screening. Assisted in writing reports. Responsibilities: Worked on a large scale study assessing the efficacy of a reading readiness intervention for pre-school aged children at risk for reading failure in primary physicians’ offices. Responsibilities: Explored differences in children’s response to Theory of Mind tasks with a focus on the relationship between sophistication in Theory of Mind tasks and empathetic responses. Responsible for data collection, data analysis, and preparation of presentations. Clinical: Graduate Assistant University of Delaware. Career and Life Studies Certificate Program. (2013-2014). Responsibilities: Provided program support for the Career and Life Studies Certificate program, a post-secondary program for adults with intellectual disabilities. Provides 1:1 coaching support for students within the program. Entered data on students internship experiences. Participated in developing assessments and data collection protocols. Personal Support Staff Ken Crest Services. (2010-2013). Responsibilities: Provided in-home support for adults with varying disabilities. Assisted with socialization, academic, and behavioral goals. Assisted with behavior management. Assisted with completing daily living skills goals. Wrote monthly reports on progress. Participated in quarterly meetings. All goals were reported and adjusted as accomplishments are made. Assistant Director Variety Club Camp and Developmental Center, Extended School Year Program. (2011 & 2012). Responsibilities: Provided assistance to teachers with implementing IEP goals and tracking progress. Responsible for collecting and managing daily and weekly data. Provided behavioral support, including writing behavior plans and working with Behavior Specialists. Provided teacher and teaching assistant trainings, including: Positive approaches, developmental disability overview, history and perspectives, etc. Provided staff feedback.
