(hereinafter referred to as “Jean Coutu Group”) has taken positive action to improve the quality of life in the communities it serves. In particular, the Jean Coutu Group supports organizations operating in the healthcare and education sectors. Every year, it donates approximately one percent (1%) of its before-tax earnings to these organizations. The annual budget allocated to donations must first be approved by the Jean Coutu Group’s senior management. SUPPORTING HEALTHCARE AND EDUCATION The purpose of the Jean Coutu Group’s donations policy is to support hospital foundations, health research organizations, hospitals and faculties of pharmacy in a tangible manner.
