The Simpsons The Simpsons is a very famous cartoon series. It is popular all over the world with twenty-five million fans in the United States. It is on television in sixty countries, including Italy. The Simpsons are an American family from a small town called Springfield. There are five people in the family. Homer is the father and he’s an office worker. He is married to Marge. Marge’s family are from France, and she’s a housewife. The children in the family are: Bart, a boy, and two girls, Lisa and Maggie. Bart is ten, Lisa is eight and Maggie is a baby. Lisa is good at school, but Bart isn’t. The Simpsons’ pets are: a brown dog, Santa’s Little Helper, and a black cat, Snowball 2. The children’s grandad is Abe Simpson. He’s Homer’s father. Why are the Simpsons so popular? Perhaps because they are not special – they aren’t rich or cool. They are just a normal American family but they have extraordinary adventures.
