Tehran Tehran Tehran The capital of Persia since 1789, Tehran has grown from a dusty backwater to a teeming metropolis of 800,000. In the last decade alone, Tehran has added 300,000 residents, many displaced by the earthquakes, monster attacks, and other consequences of the Serpentfall. And some of these new residents are here to play the secret game that Britain and Russia have played here–much to the distaste of Persians of all stripes–since the 19th century. But now the game is in new innings; played with a savage intensity here because Persia is almost the only court left for it. The Serpent Curtain lies across Europe, an impenetrable barrier. Turkey is surrounded by Soviet clients and conquests–and by suspicious Soviet guards. Central Asia and China are remote, plagued by warlords and bitter cold. But Persia borders Soviet territory directly, a border that moved much closer to Tehran after the Soviets annexed Persian Azerbaijan in 1946. Less than 200 miles from the expanded Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic, Tehran has become Tbilisia veritable nest of spies. Day 1: Flight from your home country to Tehran capital of IRAN Day 2: Tehran Arrivals in Tehran International Airport, meet and assist at airport and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon: visiting Niavaran Palace and Bazaar e Tajrish and Enanzadeh Saleh mausoleum. O/N: Tehran. The Niavaran Complex is a historical complex situated in Shemiran, Tehran (Greater Tehran), Iran. It consists of several buildings and monuments built in the Qajar and Pahlavi eras. The complex traces its origin to a garden in Niavaran region, which was used as a summer residence by Fath-Ali Shah of the Qajar Dynasty. A pavilion was built in the garden by the order of Naser ed Din Shah of the same dynasty, which was originally referred to as Niavaran House, and was later renamed Saheb Qaranie House. The pavilion of Ahmad Shah Qajar was built in the late Qajar period. During the reign of the Pahlavi Dynasty, a modern built mansion namedNiavaran House was built for the imperial family of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. All of the peripheral buildings of the Saheb Qaranie House, with the exception of the Ahmad Shahi Pavilion, were demolished, and the buildings and structures of the present-day complex were built to the north of the Saheb Qaranie House. In the Pahlavi period, the Ahmad Shahi Pavilion served as an exhibition area for the presents from world leaders to the Iranian monarchs. Im?mz?deh S?leh is one of many Im?mzadeh mosques in Iran. The mosque is located at Tajrish Square in Tehran's northern Shemiran district. The mosque entombs the remains of S?leh, a son of the Twelver Sh?‘ah Im?m, M?s? al-K?dhim, and is one of the most popular Sh?‘ah shrines in northern Tehran. -

These structures can have variety of types including historical buildings or complexes, modern structures with advanced technology, landmarks, etc. Since during the last decades, identity crisis has been a major problem for contemporary architecture, the aim of this study is to survey the relation between national identity and monumental buildings and to recognize how monumental buildings contribute to create national identity. -

Comprehending the functions o f natural processes and threads can be an initiative for human societies to imitate and produce not only form, but also proper process and functioning. In this paper, the sound and shape of raindrops falling on a surface was used as a source of inspiration along with musical features such as rhythm, harmony, space and repetition to design a multi-purpose auditorium complex. This complex which was designed using the 3D MAX software is meant to serve as a place for holding conferences, lectures, galleries and concerts as well as a movie theater. The Post production software was also utilized to make some modifications on the design and the AUTOCAD software was used to generate 2-D plans. In addition to its bionic feature, this design acts as a reminder of the importance of Iran’s water scarcity issue the necessity of efficient use of rainwater. This issue can be further emphasized by building a musical fountain on the complex’s open grounds. The design of complex’s interior and exterior façades, structural form, and materials is based on combination of modern technology with innovative use of bionic design. -

The tower is situated in north-west of Tehran, few kilometers from the known “North Tehran” and “Ray” active faults. Therefore, taking into account the near field aspects of strong motion in the design of such an important structure is necessary. In present study, time histories at the tower’s site, for different scenario earthquakes along the nearest sources are simulated using the stochastic finite-fault simulation method of Beresnev and Atkinson (1997, 1998). The stick model for the tower is constructed and the effects of different fault rupture scenario on the response of the structure under simulated earthquake excitations are investigated. We have explored the sensitivity of the results to the variation of the nucleation point, so, all other parameters such as the stress drop and strength radiation factor are assumed at their best estimate values. -
