Independent & neutral humanitarian organization founded in Italy in 1994 to provide free of charge, high quality medical and surgical care to the victims of war, landmines and poverty.

EMERGENCY promotes a culture of peace, solidarity and respect for human rights. EMERGENCY /

In 2015 (Nov. 30th) EMERGENCY and its founder Dr. Gino Strada received the “Right Livelihood Award” (Alternative Nobel Prize). EMERGENCY / World Wide EMERGENCY is a recognized charity in Belgium, Italy, UK, USA, Hong Kong, Japan and Switzerland.

EMERGENCY is partner of the United Nations (DPI/NGO) and in 2015 it was granted the Special Consultative Status at ECOSOC.
