Families are encouraged to attend this fun interactive event designed to get kids excited about STEM - science, technology, engineering and math. Examine formula racer engineering and race your own gravity powered model! Discover what it’s like to be a heart surgeon using the newest life saving technologies! East Bay Saturday, 10/27 10AM - 2PM California State University East Bay Concord Campus 4700 Ygnacio Valley Road Concord Cost: FREE Come enjoy a showcase of science, technology, and engineering from businesses, museums, and universities throughout Contra Costa County. Over 25 interactive exhibits and demos! Attendees will explore STEM fields, discover new interests, and create lasting memories. They are a few of the harassed, horrified, and often hilarious figures you can find in Open Wide: 500 Years of Dentistry in Art. Join the UCSF Archives and Special Collections for the opening 10/26, 9am - 7pm reception and self-guided tours exploring artworks from UCSF Library the collection of Dr. Morton G. Rivo, D.D.S., a former Chief Parnassus Campus of Periodontics, augmented with artifacts, rare books, UCSF 530 Parnassus Ave. School of Dentistry records, and other materials from UCSF Main floor, 1st & 5th floor Archives and Special Collections. Meet the producers and hear harrowing tales of how they captured the fascinating imagery for some of Deep Look’s creepy creature videos including black widows, flesh eating beetles, ticks, 10/26, 7 - 9pm whispering bats and more. Plus, you’ll meet some of Bluxome Center the researchers that made these videos possible and 61 Bluxome St. enjoy hands-on activities that might test your fear factor! Chabot’s three large historic telescopes offer a unique way to experience the awe and wonder of the Universe. Our observatory deck offers breathtaking views 1,500 feet above the Bay. The observatories at Chabot Space & Science Center are located 37.819 degrees North latitude and 122.182 degrees West 10/26, 7:30 - 10:30pm longitude.
