2011-12 Public Sector Development Program Planning and Development Department Government of Balochistan Government of Balochistan Planning & Development Department Public Sector Development Programme 2011-12 (Original) June, 2011 PREFACE The PSDP 2010 – 11 has seen its completion in a satisfactory manner. Out of 961 schemes, 405 schemes have successfully been completed at an aggregated expenditure of Rs. Rs.10.180 billion. Resultantly, communications links will get more strengthened in addition to increase in the employment rate in the province. More specifically, 60 schemes of water sector will definitely reinforce other sectors attached to it such as livestock and forestry. The PSDP 2011-12 has a total outlay of Rs.31.35 billion having 1084 schemes. Of this Rs.31.35 billion, 47.4% has been allocated to 590 ongoing schemes. The strategy adopted in preparation of the PSDP 2011-12 focuses chiefly on infrastructural sectors. Education, health and potable safe drinking water have been paid due attention with a view to bring about positive increase in their representation in social indicators. Worth mentioning is the fact that involvement of the Elected Members of the Provincial Assembly has excessively been helpful in identification of schemes in the constituencies having followed a well thought criteria. This has ensured that no sector has remained dormant as far its development and allocation of funds is concerned. Feasibility studies will be undertaken during FY 2011-12, especially for construction of mega dams to utilize 6.00 MAF flood water, which goes unutilized each year. Besides, feasibility studies for exploration and exploitation of viable minerals in the province will also be carried out. -

Foreword This report demonstrates the breadth and quality of work in relation of SCSPEB activities and achievements during the period. This Annual Report looks back at our performance during the period of July 2007 to June 2009, while its sister document, our Annual Plans, strategies to look ahead and is a projection of that performance for future years, laying down broad objectives, setting ourselves targets and indicating how we will achieve them. Society for Community Support for Primary Education in Balochistan (SCSPEB) is a non profit organization, has been working since 1993 with an aim to use community participation to establish Government-community partnerships for sustainable development of the Province of Balochistan. Prior to 1993 a successful trail run in which 20 community Support schools (CSP) were established through “Participatory Action Research” in Loralai. The inspiring results of this project led to the institutionalization of Society as an NGO. The nature of today‟s global economy highlights our interdependence and the need for much better global policies. Yet each country also has to address its own particular set of challenges. Supporting countries in identifying the actions and policies needed to respond to these and other multifarious and interlinked development challenges is at the heart of Society, with the same point of view society had come to realization that education as a whole, especially for girls, needed supportive constituency one that whole comprise of Parents, Schools and representatives of Local -

GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN PUBLIC SECTOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME 2021-22 PLANNING COMMISSION MINISTRY OF PLANNING, DEVELOPMENT & SPECIAL INITIATIVES June, 2021 PREFACE Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) is an important policy instrument aiming to achieve sustainable economic growth and socioeconomic objectives of the government. The outgoing fiscal year PSDP was made with a particular focus on strengthening the health sector and creating economic opportunities to combat widespread disruptions caused by COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of efficient and well-coordinated management of the pandemic, the economy showed signs of recovery and economic growth stood at 3.94% during FY 2020-21. In the upcoming year 2021-22, the priority of the Government is to further spur economic activities. Therefore, the PSDP in 2021-22 has been enhanced by 38% from Rs 650 billion in FY 2020-21 to Rs. 900 billion (including foreign aid of Rs 100 billion). The focus of PSDP 2021-22 is on improving transport and communication facilities with special emphasis on inter-provincial and regional connectivity, investment on building large dams and water conservation systems as per the National Water Policy, augmenting and strengthening health sector infrastructure and service delivery, improving access to higher education, social protection, increasing employment and livelihood opportunities, reducing regional disparities, mitigating effects of climate change, building knowledge economy, enhancing agricultural productivity & ensuring food security and supporting Public Private Partnership initiatives through providing Viability Gap funding. Special Development Packages have been initiated under the Regional Equalization Programme to ensure the development of the deprived areas to bring them at par with other developed regions of the country. -
