12 FOREWORD _ +\ ca +\ G _1 c]0+a\ a $J N+4 ]H ^O1\ O9\ cUa]\ T I\ ca\ I\ * G 'a!\ cIa !8 \b ]H _]0 ]H \ I G ]8 'a!` We express our gratitude to Allah Teala, the creator of the uni- verse, the one who guides the deluded and provides protection and power to all who seek it. Sallat and Salam to his favourite, Muhammed, to his companions, to his family, to his followers un- til the Judgment Day. When Allah guides you, no one can mislead you; when He leaves you to be deluded, no one can guide you. The road of life is a competition with time, but only when a man does acts inherent to Islam and to human values. If a man does not strive for the good, then he is devoured by the labyrinth of routine roaming in worldly deeds. In the end, it is not neces- sary to be always happy; it is enough to see the joy in the eyes of an orphan, to hear the gratitude of a person who has fallen into misfortune, or to see the fruits of a good deed. Only then he/she can feel the essence of existence in this worls and only then he/she is content with himself/herself, which means that Allah is also contented. Another year of our life has fl own away and we have been trying to strike a balance of what has been achieved and omitted dur- ing the year. It was fi lled up with hopes and expectations as well as with lots of challenges, which was an indicator for the right- ness of our initiatives and for the fact that it is not really easy to oppose to the forays of the contemporary awareness of religion which is marginalized by politicians and public fi gures. They try to take advantage of it as much as possible without giving an- 13 Главен мюфтия Grand Muſt i Bulgaristan Başmüſt üsü ything away and without considering the religious emotions of people. I am saying that not to accuse them because it is not something new in human history to use relgion for political or other purposes. However, I would like to wake up the instinct of self-preserva- tion in Muslims who oſt en put up with what has been served to them. I would like to re- mind the following ayet: “Today I completed your religion for you and carried through My Grace to you and approved Islam to be your religion.” (Maide: 3). Regarding the religion Allah says “your religion”, namely it is yours, you will feel its advantages if you observe it, if you keep it, and if you apply it in your life. Consequently, those who claim to be Mus- lims should support the development and prosperity of Islam, not to make attempts to put through their ideology on the shoulders of belivers. Perhaps, it is high time we con- sidered that religion was neither an expression of dogmatics nor a manifestation of blind imitation to some of our ancestors, nor a demonstration of implementation of rituals that were not related to the belief. The religion is a reference point in humans’ life, it is the on- ly criterion for human values and it is a division line between the humane and inhumane in a human being and community. Therefore, if we want the support of Allah if we want a balance between our physical and spiritual realm, we should live with the religion and be its servants, not its masters. To make it clearer, I will underline that Islam is a patent neither of muſt is, nor of imams, nor of the employees in the sphere of the denomination. Allah says “your religion”, i.e. the religion of everybody who desires to taste its sweetness and to feel satisfaction from spir- itual aspirations. We have been trying to live up to what we believe, we have been trying to get a spiritu- al advantage out of the religion that Allah has sent for the salvation of humankind. We thank to Allah Teala for our achievements, we blame nobody else but ourselves for our blunders and mistakes.

(2019) DTPA-extractable micronutrients in soils of Southern Bulgaria. Bulgarian Journal of Agricultural Science, 25 (6), 1233–1238 A soil survey in oriental tobacco growing regions in Southern Bulgaria was carried out. One hundred thirty-one soil samples were collected. The main soil characteristics: texture, pH, and humus content were determined, as well as DTPA-extractable iron, manganese, copper, and zinc. All indices investigated show that, despite the predominant monocultural practices of grow- ing oriental tobacco, most of the soils in the studied regions were suitable for this type of tobacco, and for obtaining a good quality of tobacco raw materials. The determined values for DTPA-extractable micronutrients were: iron ranging from 1.42 to 85.55 mg.kg-1, manganese between 7 and 212 mg.kg-1, copper from 0.35 to 12.23 mg.kg-1, and zinc from 0.59 to 11.14 mg.kg-1. The tobacco soils analyzed were characterized by very high (46%) and high content (21%) of mobile forms of iron, as well as very high content of mobile manganese – 73%. Most of the soil samples had a high to a very high content of DTPA-extractable copper – 41% and 21%, respectively. With regard to mobile zinc content, the majority of the soils were characterized by moder- ate levels – 63%, followed by soils with low content of the element – 23%.
