Services depart every 30 mins. A single journey is £3.00 and a return journey is £5.00 with the ticket still valid up to two weeks from the date of purchase The 757 AirLink Direct Express offers a direct route to the city centre via the Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre, Central Station and Queen Street Station. It is ideal for those whose destination is the city centre or one of Glasgow's main train stations. The 747 AirLink service operates via Renfrew, Braehead, Partick, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Charing Cross making it ideal for those visiting the west end of the city as well as those visitors wishing to see some of Glasgow's retail and tourist attractions on the way into the city centre. **For further information including timetables & route maps please visit: http://www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/scotland/swscot/airlink/index.php GLASGOW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO CITY CENTRE COACH TRAVEL Delegates can use the 500 Glasgow Flyer service which is operated by Arriva in association with BAA Glasgow. This direct journey into the City Centre departs every 10 minutes from Stance number 1 in the boarding area as you exit the terminal building. The 500 service incorporates stops in close proximity to several accommodation locations. A single journey is £4.20 and an open return of up to 4 weeks is £6.50, you can buy tickets in advance online for this service. **For further information including timetables & route maps please visit: http://www.glasgowflyer.com/ TAXIS GLASGOW TAXIS On arrival at the airport delegates can call and book a taxi with Glasgow Taxis on +44 (0) 141 429 7070. These are the “black cabs” that you’ll see in and around the city. This service is operated by First Scotrail. The service runs every 9 minutes from Glasgow Central Station and the journey will take 3 minutes. A single journey to the SECC will be £1.20 with a return fare £1.50 Tickets can be purchased in Central Station at the Ticket Desks or at the Automated Kiosks **For further information on the First Scotrail Network including rail timetables please visit: http://www.scotrail.co.uk/ CITY CENTRE TO SECC Coach to the SECC The 757 First Eventlink offers a direct route via the city centre to the Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre. The service operates every 30 minutes and can be boarded at key locations in the city. SPT work in partnership with each transport provider and their site provides a wealth of information on each transport element together with ticket and journey guides. A helpful “one stop shop,” to familiarise yourself with the transport options available in the region. **For further information on SPT please visit: http://www.spt.co.uk/index.aspx BY SUBWAY The subway is a circular route of 15 stations covering the centre and west of Glasgow. The route operates an inner circle (travels counter clockwise) and outer circle (travels clockwise), a trip round the entire circle would take only 24 minutes! Monday-Saturday services operate from 6.30am and from 10am on Sunday. Close 11.30pm (Monday-Saturday) and 6.00pm - Sunday. Trains run every 6-8 minutes and all trains stop at all stations. With over 1000 buses in operation there will certainly be a service which will travel along the most appropriate route for you. **For further information on First Bus services in Glasgow, including fares, routes & timetables, please visit: http://www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/scotland/swscot/home/ EDINBURGH to GLASGOW.… Should delegates arrive at Edinburgh International Airport, there are several travel options to Glasgow City Centre to choose from. As a guide we’ve noted the key options below, Edinburgh Airport to Edinburgh City Centre & Edinburgh City Centre to Glasgow City Centre: EDINBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO EDINBURGH CITY CENTRE COACH The Airlink 100 departs Edinburgh International Airport every 10 minutes with a journey time of 25 minutes to the centre of Edinburgh. The service departs from stance 19 which is located outside the UK arrivals hall and will travel into the heart of Edinburgh. The service includes a stop at Waverley Bridge where Waverley train station is located. A single journey is £3.50 and a return ticket would be £6.00. If you arrive at the airport in the “wee” small hours you can board the N22 bus which will also take the same route to the centre of Edinburgh. A flat fare of £3.00 applies for this journey. **For further information on the Airlink services including timetables and routes, please visit: http://www.flybybus.com/index.php TAXI CENTRAL TAXIS There are separate taxi ranks for private airport taxis and for city "black cabs" outside the east (UK Arrivals) end of the terminal building. A journey to the city centre typically takes about 25 minutes and the fare would be approximatley £18. The coach departs form St Andrews Square Bus Station and terminates at Buchanan Street Bus Station in Glasgow. A single journey is £5.70 and a return ticket would be £8.40 which is usually valid for a month from the date of purchase.
