Summer Daze 2016 Entertainment Schedule Friday, August 5 6‐7p The Flat Cats – Swinging Jazz & Blues The Flat Cats, based in Chicago, play a range of vintage and modern music rooted in the hottest swinging jazz and blues, contemporary classics, and timeless standards. Whether you choose to listen, tap your foot, or cut a rug on the dance floor, you are sure to be entertained! The group is comprised of six talented musicians with years of performing, arranging, and composing experience. Although Gina was often referred to as the ‘rocker chick,’ her musical influences and abilities range far beyond the realm of rock. Gina’s original music infuses the passion and attitude of a rock ‘n roll rebel with precision and soul of the modern ‘diva.’ VIDEO: https://youtu.be/qu7j97IUPNM 9:30‐11:30p ARRA – Classic Rock ARRA is one of the best and largest drawing classic rock cover bands in the Chicagoland area, and has been for the past two decades. They were also voted BEST CLASSIC ROCK BAND in the Nitelife Best of the Burbs Contest for the 5th year in a row. ARRA performs the biggest hits by the biggest bands of all time with precision and excellence. Their unparalleled vocal harmonies and incredible musicianship is also what has made them one of the most sought after club and festival bands in the Chicago area. VIDEO: https://youtu.be/lCuCho_WYCk Saturday, August 6 4‐5p Jim Gill – Children’s Entertainer Jim Gill is a musician and author who creates opportunities for playful interactions between children and adults attending his concerts; rather than performing for the children and parents, Jim leads them to sing and play together. Each of Jim’s concerts is an active sing‐along and clap‐along. He bangs out energetic rhythms on his banjo while everyone claps, jumps, dances, and even sneezes along. This energetic, dynamic seven‐piece band has many years of experience and really knows how to entertain. These 4 musicians' incomparable stage presence can only be described as a uniquely perfect blend of Sugarland and Van Halen. Slamabama's show consists a female lead with stage energy and vocal range to burn, plus an additional male lead vocalist/lead guitarist. Add in a third vocalist to round out their unique 2‐ and 3‐part harmonies backed by a dynamic and tight rhythm section, and you've got "that SLAMABAMA sound." They are one of the few Bon Jovi Tribute bands that has had the opportunity to meet Jon Bon Jovi himself and perform for him live. The band’s song repertoire covers all of the songs made popular by Bon Jovi as well as non‐Jovi songs by artists such as Poison, Guns 'n Roses, Motley Crue, and many more.
