The annual INTO Consultative Conference on Education took place this year in the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone, on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 November. The Kenyan Child Foundation is a fully registered Irish charity providing free quality education to over 250 students in a remote area of Kenya. We believe that all children's development should be encouraged, regardless of where they live in the world. Following a visit to Makueni County, Kenya in Summer 2014, we decided to establish our foundation. Over the past four years, the Kenyan Child Foundation has constructed a 12 classroom primary school called St Patrick’s Primary School, that is fully accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science in Kenya. The school is located in Kawese, a small townland 120 kilometres south of Nairobi, just off the Mombasa highway.
