Clonality Monoclonal Clone CDH16/1071 Preservative 0.05% Sodium Azide Isotype IgG1 Kappa Purity Protein A or G purified Buffer 10 mM PBS with 0.05% BSA Target Molecular Weight 130 kDa Product Description Host Mouse ID 1014 Gene Symbol CDH16 Species Human, Mouse, Rat, Canine, Rabbit Specificity/Sensitivity This MAb recognizes a protein of 130kDa, identified as Ksp-cadherin. form a superfamily of related that mediate calcium-dependent and transmit signals from the extracellular matrix to the cytoplasm. Cadherins have been implicated in embryogenesis, tissue , tissue structure maintenance, cell polarization, neoplastic invasiveness and metastasis, and membrane transport. It is suggested that Ksp-cadherin is a marker for terminal differentiation of the basolateral membranes of renal tubular epithelial cells. Within the kidney, Ksp-Cadherin is found exclusively in the basolateral membrane of renal tubular epithelial cells and collecting duct cells, and not in glomeruli, renal interstitial cells, or blood vessels.Ksp-Cadherin has been suggested to distinguish Chromophobe Renal-Cell Carcinoma from Oncocytoma. Immunogen Recombinant full-length human Cadherin-16 protein Product Application Details Applications Western Blot, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin Recommended Dilutions Western Blot, Flow Cytometry 0.5 - 1 ug/million cells in 0.1 ml, ELISA 2-4 ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin 0.5 - 1.0 ug/ml Application Notes ELISA: Use Ab at 2-4ug/ml for coating. Order Ab without BSA. Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed): 1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95C followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes. Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined. Novus Biologicals USA Bio-Techne Canada 10730 E.
