DiSario went 3-0 on the week to help the Cardinal improve to 7-1 overall. • Opened the week with a shut out of Cal Poly’s Benny Martinez, 15-0, for a technical fall in his first Pac-12 dual as Stanford defeated the Mustangs, 22-13. The pin was his fifth of the year – tied for the second-most on the team. • Followed with a pin in 3:49 over Alex Nunez at Life Pacific, then earned a 7-6 decision against Cal Baptist’s Dilan Atjun. • He is now 16-5 on the season and 6-1 in duals for the Cardinal. Also nominated: Jacori Teemer, 157, Arizona State (Earned his first career pin in just 42 seconds over Michael Murphy of Oregon State); Josh Annis, 184, CSU Bakersfield (Defeated Duke’s Kai Blake, 7-0, in Bakersfield’s 41-4 team victory). Pac-12 Wrestling to date: Arizona State: After a 26-12 dual win over Oregon State, the Sun Devils won’t return to action until they host Stanford on Fri., Jan. 31 (P12N). During the break, Zahid Valencia was off to Rome, Italy, to compete at Matteo Pellicone, the first of two Ranking Series events for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Cohlton Schultz was in Nykobing Falster, Denmark to compete at the Thor Masters Invitational. Oregon State: Devan Turner is ranked No. 20 at 133. Turner improved to 18-7 on the season with a 5-4 decision over Arizona State’s No. 17 Josh Kramer. Turner is 6-0 in dual meets this year. Stanford: Real Woods is currently ranked No. 4 at 141 and the only freshman ranked among Intermat’s top 20 at that weight. Freshman teammate Shane Griffith, who is 20-0 on the year, is ranked No. 7 at 165. Cal Poly: No. 12 Thomas Lane (197) is 12-3 on the year, and remains a perfect 6-0 in dual meets this season. CSU Bakersfield: In the 41-4 win over Duke, Jacob Thalin (157) picked up his 50th career win, while Russell Rohlfing (149) earned his 76th career victory. Little Rock: The Trojans are off until Jan. 30 when they travel to SIU Edwardsville. Pac-12 Championships: The 2020 Pac-12 Wrestling Championships will take place Saturday, March 7 in Maples Pavilion on the campus of Stanford University.
