ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT 2015 INTERIM EDITION CONTENTS EDITORIAL PUBLISHER’S DETAILS AND CREDITS 2 Ladies and Gentlemen, EDITORIAL 3 2015 was a great success for us in business terms and particularly with regard to the implementation of our long-term environmental strategy. We have taken great steps COMPANY PORTRAIT 4 forward in reaching our target of operating one of the lowest-emission cruise fleets in the world. Among the milestones in this progress are the successful certification of the ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT 5 Environmental Management system of the Mein Schiff ® fleet in accordance with the international ISO 14001 standard and the naming ceremony of Mein Schiff 4. Both of these EMISSIONS 6 – 7 achievements form part of the package of measures which, with the newbuilds to be completed by 2019, is set to provide us with a fleet of six ships all no more than five years WASTE 8 old and among the most energy-efficient and with the lowest level of exhaust emissions on the oceans of this world. For all newbuilds we are constantly examining possible technical BIODIVERSITY 9 options and innovations to advance the environmental technologies.
