Dear Friend: As I reflect on 2017 and look forward to 2018, we at Timothy Hill have so much to rejoice about. In 2017, the Ranch at Riverhead had 68 available beds in our 8 homes. We were able to care for 173 young people. Seventy-seven of these residents were in the group home program for ages 10-17, and 96 were in the transitional program for ages 18-25. Of these young people, 87% were male and 13% female. All of our programs ran really well, and we shared so many great experiences. We all helped to create some wonderful memories. Some highlights for the program included visits from many volunteer groups, and the addition of a new basketball court. In our education program we had a record breaking number of residents who went on to pursue a post-secondary education. Our Retreat Centers have grown and enhanced so much in just one year. At both sites we welcomed new site directors, along with their families. They are good Christian families who truly have it in their hearts to serve the Lord. Both families come to Timothy Hill with extensive hospitality and business experience. If you have not done so yet, I invite you to book a stay at the Retreat Centers so you can meet them in person. You will not be disappointed! In addition, our occupancy rates increased by 50%, our summer camps were full, and the retreat programs are growing. Combined, thousands have now stayed at Timothy Hill Retreat Centers. We are so blessed and looking ahead. I believe that God has so many great things in the works for Timothy Hill. I am asking HIM to lead us so that we may serve at a greater capacity. We, as an organization, specifically hope to reach more young people at the Ranch at Riverhead, and are getting ready to serve young people in the state of Tennessee. At the Retreat Centers, we will be refurbishing the lodge at Center Hill Lake this spring. Save the date for a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 12 to celebrate with us. At the Retreat at Norwich Lake we will be launching a new vocational training pathway for our New York residents. So be on the lookout for this. I hope that you will continue to walk with us on this journey that God has set before us. I believe that you are as much as a part of this plan as I am, and I want to make sure you know how important you are to our mission. It is truly because of your volunteer efforts, financial support, spiritual guidance and prayers that Timothy Hill will continue to reach thousands of people and help them to transform their lives. I thank you for your ongoing encouragement and ask for your support and prayers in this next year. I also invite you and your family, colleagues and friends to stay at our Retreat Centers and to come visit the Ranch at Riverhead. We do this in two ways: • Residential programs that provide a safe haven for at-risk young people and help them restore their lives through a holistic approach that focuses on mind, body & soul. • Retreat centers offering beautiful, Christ-centered getaway sanctuaries that provide relaxation, recreation and spiritual fellowship where individuals, families and groups can be refreshed and renewed. Thank you to the many people who came to serve at Timothy Hill this past year to help us transform the lives of our young people. The Ranch at Riverhead provides a home for at-risk young people to restore their lives and discover hope for their futures. With group homes and transitional housing for teens and young adult, the Ranch at Riverhead is a safe haven for young people facing abuse, abandonment, homelessness and incarceration as well as other crises. We help nurture and grow residents through education, counseling, vocational training and Christ-centered character development in a supportive and loving family-like community. Success in School Last year, we had 11 residents complete their high school diplomas, with 3 of them now attending Suffolk County Community College. We are so proud of all of our students for accomplishing their goals! Connecting with the Long Island Community In April, we hosted the Long Island Breakfast in Melville. Former residents, current residents, church groups and individuals gathered to share a meal and fellowship.
