UIAA CLIMBING WORLDCUP 2006 – (SUI) BOULDERING Friday 9 June – Saturday 10 June 2006

2. Participation / Team quotas Each national federation: 3 male and 3 female competitors for each category The host federation: 6 male and 6 female competitors for each category

The first 10 women and men listed in the CUWR at the registration deadline and those placed first in the Youth A and Junior age groups in the last Youth Continental Championships have the status of pre-qualified competitors and can be registered on top of the quota stated above. Any other supplementary participants need to be approved by UIAA Climbing according to the rules.

4. Deadline for registration The registration deadline is Tuesday, May 30, 2006.

1 08.05.2006 7. Competition Venue The competition will be held in the centre of the town of Grindelwald (open air). The place is called Baerplatz.

Grindelwald, a hospitable glacier village, lies well embedded in an alternating but yet genuine alpine landscape. The spectacular and world famous, ice-topped mountains - Wetterhorn, Eiger, Mönch and - belong to Grindelwald's scenery.

Arriving by car: Motorways lead from Bâle, Geneva or Zürich via Berne to Spiez. From Spiez onwards, good main roads lead via to Grindelwald.

Arriving by rail: Fast and direct trains run daily to Interlaken from many main cities in Europe. From Interlaken Ost, there is a connecting train to Grindelwald. Interlaken-Grindelwald approx. 35 min. For train schedules, take a look at: www.sbb.ch.

Arriving by air: The international airports, Zürich-Kloten and Geneva-Cointrin, have connecting trains to Interlaken and Grindelwald. From the airport of Berne-Belp an airport taxi will bring you to the next railway station. For train schedules, take a look at: www.sbb.ch.
