Walnut is a village in Bureau County, Illinois. It is part of the Ottawa-Streator MSA and is located in North-Central Illinois. Walnut is strategically located along Illinois Route 92 which is a major east-west state highway in northwest Illinois. Walnut also is benefitted by its location between Interstate 80 and Interstate 88.
