Using a combination of a proven, frugal and Euro 6 compliant five-cylinder diesel engine and an electric motor powered by roof-mounted batteries, the Scania Hybrid bus provides up to 25% savings in fuel use and exhaust emissions. If run on commercially-available B100 biodiesel, the Hybrid’s CO2 emissions are cut by 90%. Using biodiesel can provide strategic fuel security for operators as well.
