Customer Information: The information in this PASSENGER’S installation instruction is intended for use only by skilled DOOR OPENING SEAL DASHBOARD technicians who have the proper tools, equipment, and (Pull away.) These procedures should not be attempted by “do-it-yourselfers.” NOTE: When turning on the engine switch (power switch) during installation, warning lamp may be displayed in meter panel. If you finish installation and carry out the initial settings, the lamp will be turned off. 1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. 2. Apply masking tape to the upper column cover, dashboard, combination light SELECT/RESET switch, and wiper switch as shown. Remove the METER QD40309AJ driver’s dashboard lower cover, and unplug the vehicle connectors. 10. Pull away the door opening seal, and remove the driver’s dashboard side lid. Remove the climate control unit, and unplug the control, continue with step 13; otherwise go to step vehicle connectors. Go to step 21. 16. CLIMATE With automatic climate control CONTROL UNIT 5 CLIPS 13. Apply masking tape to the climate control unit, center console panel, center console pad, and shift lever as shown. Move the shift lever to Drive. CLIMATE SHIFT LEVER MASKING CONTROL UNIT (Move to Drive.) TAPE CLIP VEHICLE CONNECTORS With manual climate control 16. Using a plastic trim tool, pry open the two screw covers. Remove the two tie-down hooks. 25. Remove the tool box. RETAINING TAB QC72408AK NOTE: The same procedure applies to all tool boxes. 31. Pull away the weatherstrip and door opening seal.
