November 2019, Amsterdam. 5 European Solidarity Corps The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is the new European Union initiative which creates opportunities for young people to volunteer or work in projects in their own country or abroad which benefits communities and people around Europe. Loesje International takes part in this initiative with the project “Volunteering abroad: I take full responsibility for becoming different”. Every year Loesje International hosts two European Solidarity Corps Volunteers from different countries for 12 months. The project usually starts on the 1st of September and lasts until the 31st of August. Our Volunteers live in Arnhem, do society-committed work and enjoy life. The ESC program, (previously known as EVS) is funded and supported by Erasmus+ and the Dutch National Agency. It is a truly enriching program which brings together different countries and nationalities. Young people have a chance to explore, learn and bring their Ralph and Ewa - Erasmus+ volunteer for Loesje International knowledge back to their home country, which during International Congress in November 2015. improves the solidarity between countries, gives new job opportunities, promotes economical growth, tolerance and much more.
