2 Nyungwe Forest On the way to Nyungwe Forest we will stop in the town of Butare (Huye) where we will visit the National Museum of Rwanda for an insight into the cultural heritage of this fascinating country.

3 Nyungwe Forest After breakfast, we visit a tea plantation including an opportunity to try your hand at picking tea. Afterwards, we visit the tea factory. Choose one of these activities, such as primate walk or bird watching. Nyungwe also has a community centre called "Banda Community Village", where you can try different food, basket weaving and banana beer. If time does not allow to do much of these visits including beer production, Similar activities can be carried out in Uganda.

4 Kibuye This morning we drive to Kibuye and visit Nyange church, a new church built as a memorial to the 3,000 people killed here when the original church was destroyed during the genocide. In the afternoon we take a boat trip on Lake Kivu where we'll see the huge colony of fruit bats that form great clouds in the sky, and Amahoro Island, the island of peace.

5 Kibuye Today we visit the L'Esperance children's orphanage and village. The whole day will be dedicated to this visit.

6 Gisenyi After breakfast, we drive to Gisenyi. Visit a fishing village, enjoy a bath in the hot springs and visit the coffee island where you can see the whole coffee production process - and taste the coffee, of course! Later, there will be time to relax in the lodge or enjoy a walk along the shores of Lake Kivu.

7 Volcanoes National We will drive from Gisenyi to the home of the mountain gorillas, Park Volcanoes National Park. There is also the possibility of a visit to see banana & sorghum beer production in Musanze, on the way to the national park.

8 Volcanoes National Today you can climb a volcano or visit the tomb of Dian Fossey. Park There are several ways to enjoy Kinigi's cultural entertainment.

9 Lake Mutanda (UG) We say farewell to Rwanda and drive across the border to Lake Mutanda in Uganda. With the Virunga volcano as its backdrop, this is certainly a spot for some great scenic photos. A boat tour is possible.

10 Lake Bunyonyi We’ll drive for a couple of hours to Lake Bunyonyi where you will have time to relax, take a nature walk, enjoy watching the abundant birdlife or maybe wander through the local market at Rutinda where many people still bring their produce by canoe. You could even try your hand at paddling a traditional dugout canoe or go swimming in the hippo, croc and bilharzia-free waters.

11 Bwindi Impenetrable After a cosy breakfast, we drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National National Park Park. On the way we stop in Kagunga Trading Centre for a taste of the local sorghum beer. In the afternoon, there are optional activities such as community tours, bird watching and chameleon tracking.

12 Bwindi Impenetrable Put your boots on and grab a sturdy walking stick, today is a once in National Park a lifetime experience: Gorilla tracking! It is one of the best Ugandan travel experiences you can have. You will be hiking up in the mountains which can take between 2 to 6 hours depending on how far the gorillas are.

13 Bwindi Impenetrable We have a very special day in an African community, today. Herbert National Park - Banobi's team will guide you through the day, cooking traditional Ishasha meals, picking vegetables in the garden, checking the ripeness of the fruits and getting to know life in Africa up close. In the evening, we drive to Ishasha to look for the lions in the trees. Enjoy the lunch among the community members.

14 Queen Elizabeth Today we get up early and continue our search for the tree climbing National Park lions. After breakfast we drive to the northern part of the Queen Elizabeth National Park. If time permits, we can also visit Katwe Salt Lake.

15 Bunyaruguru crater After breakfast we drive to Bunyaruguru, the land of crater lakes. region You will be amazed by the different lakes, shapes and colours. In the clear waters of the oval shaped lake Kamunzuku you can see to the bottom; Lake Rutoto looks like the continent of Africa and there are even twin lakes, separated by just 1 metre. We'll stay overnight at Kamweru Eco Tourism camp. In the evening there is a hunter breaking dance from the Banyaruguru.

16 Queen Elizabeth After this trip we will return to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On National Park your game drive you could see lions, buffalo, elephants, antelopes, the elusive bush pig and you might even be lucky to spot a leopard! Hippos, buffalo, crocodiles and many species of birds can be spotted during the afternoon boat trip on the Kazinga Channel.

17 Rwenzori Mountains After an early breakfast we drive to the Ruwenzori Mountains for a one-day hike. On the Kirembe Trail you get an insight into the flora and fauna of this unique mountain range. After, we drive to Fort Portal for the night.

19 Kibale National Park In the morning you will be hiking off the beaten track, through the jungle in search of chimpanzees. Once you find them, it will be a fascinating experience as you watch them play, feed and swing through the trees, which is highly entertaining. Primate and bird watching will be the highlights of the afternoon walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.

20 Hoima We'll mostly be on the road today, en route to Hoima where we'll visit the tomb of King Bunyoro, a place of significance in local history and culture.

21 Murchison Falls We continue to Murchison National Park, home to buffalo and National Park elephants as well as gentle, graceful giraffes. With a bit of luck, we'll also see lions and leopards on our evening game drive.

22 Murchison Falls An early morning game drive and a relaxing afternoon boat ride National Park along the Victoria Nile River where you will encounter animals gathering on the riverbanks and an abundance of crocodiles and hippos. The boat will take you close to bottom of the thundering Murchison waterfall, where the powerful river Nile forces its way through a gap only 7 metres wide and over 43 metres high.

23 Murchison Falls We have an early start to catch the 7 a.m. boat trip to the Nile Delta. National Park - Ziwa During this 6-hour trip you'll be able to see the difference in the river Rhino Sanctuary compared to yesterday's thundering falls and have lots of wildlife watching opportunities. We'll stop at the top of the falls as we leave the park, heading south to our overnight accommodation at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

24 Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary After breakfast, we set out on a rhino tracking expedition. This – Kampala special experience brings you very close to the rhinos and you will be able to learn about the steps being taken to protect this endangered species. After, we head south to Kampala.

25 Kampala - Jinja We start today with a Kampala City Tour, before heading east to Jinja. Jinja is known as the thrill-seekers capital of Uganda, but there's plenty to occupy the less adventurous too. Choose from the following activities. You can take a gentle walk, a horse or even a quad bike along the banks of the Nile. You can also visit local community projects, go kayaking, bungee jumping or the most popular attraction - white water rafting down the River Nile rapids! Some of these activities have to be booked in advance, so please let us know what you'd like to do.

To shorten some of the longer distances (6-7 hours) at the beginning or at the end of your tour activities, which normally ends far away from Entebbe International Airport, we can arrange a flight to connect to the airport quickly for your scheduled return flight.
