Dave Roberts:

 Inducted in the A. B. F. Hall of Fame in the Inaugural year – 2005.  Commenced playing baseball 1941/1942 at Norwood High School.  Played for East Torrens 1943 – 45.  Played for Kensington 1946 – 51.  Played Night Baseball with Norwood Redsox 1952 – 71.  Returned to East Torrens 1952 – 1975.  Total number of League, Interstate and International games – 868.  Played for for 14 consecutive years – 1949 – 62.  Played for South Australia for 14 consecutive years – 1949 – 62.  Selected in Australian team 1950/51/52/54/55/58 and captain 1960/61.  Awarded Life Membership of East Torrens and Baseball S.A. – 1968  Coached Junior Interstate teams for 5 years.  Chairman of S.A. Junior Baseball League for 5 years  Received an award for sporting achievement from the Prime Minister – 2000. Shayne Bennett:

Shayne Bennett is the only East Torrens player to have played at the highest level.

 Inducted in the A. B. F. Hall of Fame in 2008.  Commenced playing with Kensington T-Ball Club.  Played Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 with East Torrens.  Winner of Baseball SA Under 15 Medal.  Represented South Australia in all Junior Age Groups.  Left East Torrens at 17 years of age to pursue an Australian Football career with the Collingwood Football Club.  After a productive 1995 season in the organization, Shayne was traded to the .  Played 83 games for the Montreal Expos in Major League Baseball as a from 1997 until 1999.  Major League debut against Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field in August 1997.  Seventh Australian to play in the American Major Leagues.  Giants 1999 – represented Australia in the Intercontinental Cup – Sydney.  SA Bite 2000 – I.B.L.A. – represented Australia in the Olympic Team – Sydney.  Returned to East Torrens in Season 2001/2002 as Senior A – Grade Coach and player and continued in this position for season 2002/2003.  National Team 2002.  Baseball Confederation of Oceania World Cup Qualifier – Guam. A.B.L. Only active Major 1994 – . leaguer in the 1995 – East Coast Cougars. ABL. 1996 – Gold Coast Cougars. 1997 – Adelaide Giants. - Set an ABL record of 15 strikeouts in a 7 innings game. 1998 – Adelaide Giants.
