In accordance with the requirements of our Union (and the World Rugby Regulation) permission is granted on the basis that any injury to a participant which occurs on the surface during rugby is reported to Scottish Rugby for injury surveillance and monitoring purposes; 2. Permanent signage is erected beside the entrance to the pitch indicating: a. that the pitch has been certified as being compliant with the terms of World Rugby Regulation 22 (Standard Relating to the use of Artificial Rugby Turf); and b. displaying the date on which the permission for use expires/re-testing is required. 3. The owner/operator agrees to remove the surface from use for rugby union football if at any time it has reasonable grounds to believe that the surface is no longer fully compliant with the standards set out in World Rugby Regulation 22 . Note 2 : An approved artificial turf surface may be used to play matches providing the pitch meets the requirements of Law 1. Please note that certain venues are suitable for training purposes only and cannot accommodate the playing of rugby matches. Note 3 : Pitch sizes refer to (goal line to goal line) by (touch line to touch line). All pitch and 3G turf carpet sizes are approximate – potential location users are advised to contact the site operator for more information as to the exact pitch dimensions. Although I knew then that I was a very accurate and lengthy instep place-kicker of a rugby ball, I was under no illusion that my getting a place in the Jordanhill College Rugby Football Club top squad would be easy, nor did I have any notion then that retaining a first choice spot in the 1st XV for a good number of seasons might possibly occur. However, I was aware of the fact that graduating from College was not the end of the opportunity to play senior rugby for Jordanhill, as former students as players were not only considered eligible, but were also deemed essential in order to maintain a fighting chance for coach Bill Dickinson‟s side to compete at the highest levels possible in Scotland. Thus time was on my side, if only I was patient, and prepared to work hard at the game. But first I had, during my student days, to convince mentors Bill Dickinson and George Orr of my potential, and then, if this was accomplished, to provide consistent proof thereafter of my continuing value as a full back/three-quarter and place kicker in the top side in its annual attempts to win the Scottish Unofficial Club Championship and the Glasgow District Knock-Out Trophy.
