Music Director Mr. Tarcisio Pono Prayer to

We rejoice in your elevation to the honors of the altar, dear St. Maximilian Kolbe. We thank you and praise God for your loyalty to Christ, your devotion to Mary Immaculate, your total surrender to the divine will.

In the midst of painful trials, you had the courage to say: “For Jesus Christ I am prepared to suffer still more.” Generous to the end, you volunteered to lay down your life for a prisoner sentenced to die by starvation.

With confidence in your power of intercession, we now present our needs to you. (Here mention your prayer request.) Obtain for us also to abide always in God’s friendship, that we may glorify Him with you in heaven for all eternity. Amen.

Incarnation of the Eternal Son. Ordinary Time does not have such a focus, but widens our view to the whole Christ, present in each of those mysteries and working in our lives today. So what do we make of the “ordinary” of Ordinary Time? By celebrating the entire mystery of Christ, we are reminded that Christ does not reserve his grace like a miser, limiting his gifts to HOLINESS IS ORDINARY Lent or Easter or other particular weeks of the year. Ordinary Time is not a meaningless period Each year in early to mid-January, the Church’s celebration of Christmas comes to a close, meaning between the Advent/Christmas cycle and the Lent/ that we now find ourselves in what the Easter cycle, filled haphazardly with celebrations English-speaking world calls “Ordinary Time.” The that simply do not fit elsewhere.
