RUBY COAST Whatever This Is Available now via Bandcamp

Ruby Coast consists of three small town friends, Justice McLellan, Keith Bradford, and Corey Marshall, whose brand of high-energy, sparkling indie-pop has taken them far beyond the confines of their suburban Aurora, ON in a relatively short span of time.

Ruby Coast first picked up their instruments together in late 2006, and has wowed crowds across the continent ever since with their unique formula of contagious pop perfection and boisterous blend of mod-rock and spastic yelps. Since releasing their (now sold out) debut EP, Projectable Collections in 2008, produced by Dave Monks of , they've taken their van across plenty of previously unmarked territory (at least unmarked to them). The band toured across and the U.S. with the likes of Passion Pit, Tokyo Police Club, and Ra Ra Riot, as well as shared stages with Canada's finest talent: Stars, , Plants and Animals, and Islands amongst others.

After hiding away as songwriting machines for much of 2009, Ruby Coast emerged from the studio with their highly anticipated debut album, Whatever This Is, in tow, produced by dream- duo Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade) and Brian Paulson (Dinosaur Jr, Slint, Wilco). Ruby Coast released the title track off the album, “Whatever This Is” as a digital single backed with another album track, “Creep Me Out” last fall to coincide with a co-headlining tour of Canada with the Meligrove Band. Now they have offered up Whatever This Is for free off the band’s Bandcamp site – www.rubycoast.bandcamp.com. It’s an incredible, and incredibly infectious collection of songs from a young band full of ecstatic energy.
