The network is picking up American Sports Story, focused on the tragic story of New England Patriots' Aaron Hernandez, and American Love Story, focused on another tragic story-the romance and marriage of John F. That deal is up in April 2023-less than two years from now. Asked whether Landgraf would like to have Murphy back at Disney and Twentieth Century Fox, Landgraf said "if you ask me if I would like it to happen, the answer is yes." As to whether that could happen, Landgraf said "I don't have the answer to that question because I think it lies within the free market and ultimately within Ryan Murphy's purview."

"He gets to decide where he makes his deal and what he does. And from where I sit, he's been extraordinarily productive for Netflix, and obviously we continue to work with him and I'm thrilled by the work that he's done with us. So it's probably premature to speculate on what will happen that far out. But if you're asking me would I like Ryan to make his home at Disney and with 20th and Dana Walden and, therefore, at FX, yeah, of course. I love working with him."
