Cavallo is 120 hectares of Mediterranean scrub crossed by paths that lead to beaches of fine sand and turquoise waters. Cavallo island is private and has been an unattainable and exclusive destination only for a privileged few. It is a "car- free" island where only electric golf cars and bicycles can circulate. Villa Annette overlooks the Bay of Zeri and consists of 6 bedrooms with bathroom, kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining, direct access to the sea, internal patio, terraces and solarium. The island of Cavallo (in progress: Cavaddu or Cavallu) is an island in the mouth of Bonifacio, between Sardinia and Corsica, in French waters. It is located north of Lavezzi, and is connected to it by a splendid stretch of sea, but with many shoals. It is a private island, characterized by the presence of many houses designed by the famous French architect Jacques Couelle. It is still a very exclusive destination that often sees the presence of numerous personalities. The Savoys have a villa there. It is the southernmost inhabited area of metropolitan France and administratively depends on the Corsican municipality of Bonifacio. You can only land on the island if you own a house or if you are a guest of someone. Like the nearby island of Lavezzi, it is part of the Strait of Bonifacio Nature Reserve, which together with the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park will form the Strait of Bonifacio International Park [1]. Even in the seventeenth century the island retained its full name of 'Horse's tail', that is, the same as the equally well- known north-eastern coastal town of Sardinia, and it is very unlikely that this is a casual homonymy; evidently those seas were once full of fish that is called in Greek ἲππoυρος ('made in a ponytail'), in the scientific terminology 'corifene hippuro', and in vulgar Italian precisely 'ponytail'. It is a fish that stands out for its bright colors and which, being well known in the Tyrrhenian Sea, takes on a multiplicity of names ("...
