Vinsobres is located about 20km north of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and consequently the climate is a bit cooler. The vineyard is located at an altitude of about 900 feet. The wine is 50% Syrah and 50% Grenache; both grape varieties are fermented together, blending their characteristics to enhance the flavors from this fine terroir. This rare cuvée is vinified in a traditional way by the Perrin family. 15% of the wine is aged in French oak. It is not filtered before bottling, and may throw some sediment over time.
