First, I love that we’ve gone beyond Satellite to your mobile devices on the SXM App! Overall, there are several differences, the main being a subscription service that allows us to clear the commercial clutter to create unique programming that ignites and excites our National audience. We’re a type of North American audio Netflix w/ a wide variety of mass appeal and niche tastemaker content that’s served up in multiple forms. My hands down favorite part is the music. Being able to consistently partner, surface and elevate new music on such a massive stage with full support and encouragement is very exciting. I’m also a huge fan of our SiriusXM Programming community, resources and relationships to get things done.
In a nutshell, what makes Venus different from SiriusXM Hits 1? Venus has a more pop melodic soul with a deeper gold library that delights and surprises. Although we’re “hit” driven, I love how musically wide and unpredictable we can be. Hits 1 is a well-rounded mass appeal pop station that elevates new music and trends in pop culture now.
