8 days from per person PROGRAMME Day 1: Salzburg € 720,- We fly to where we will meet our tour guide. A scenic drive brings us to the city of Salzburg. The city is full of graceful squares, beautiful buildings, fountains and gardens. The 17th century streets and imposing fortress Hohensalzburg of the Left Bank reflect its much-celebrated heritage. Day 2: Salzburg This morning we experience the world of the Sound of Music. Relive with us the true story of the von Trapp family, which was filmed as the "Sound of Music" in the Salzburg area. The tour, which has been Salzburg´s most popular tour for over 20 years, is a combination of this historical city itself and the beautiful lakes and mountains area, also a famous musical and cultural centre. In the afternoon we will walk through the beautiful ancient city centre and visit the Cathedral with its magnifi- cent and, thereafter, stroll along the world famous Getreidegasse. Here you will visit Getreidegasse 9, where Mozart was born. Day 3: Berchtesgaden and Eagles Nest The tour starts with a drive to Hallein, a historical cel- tic town, over the Dürnberg mountain road, past the old saltmines into neighbouring Bavaria and Germany. We will reach the Obersalzberg (approx. 1000 m above sea-level) where Hitler used to live. From there we take a special bus and then an ele- vator inside the mountain to reach the Eagles Nest used by Hitler for meetings and with a breathtaking view across the alps. We then descend to the valley again to Berchtesgaden itself.
