Saint Katharine Drexel Katharine Drexel (November 26, 1858 – March 3, 1955) was an American heiress, philanthropist, religious sister, educator, and founder. She was canonized by the Roman Catholic Church in 2000; her feast day is celebrated on March 3. She was the second American to be canonized as a saint and the first one born a U.S. citizen. She was inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame in 2011.

Saint Casimir Jagiellon (3 October, 1458 – 4 March, 1484) was a prince of the Kingdom of Poland and of the Grand Duchy of Lithua- nia. Second son of King Casimir IV Jagiellon, he was tutored by Johannes Longinus, a Polish chronicler and diplomat. After his el- der brother Vladislaus was elected as King of Bohemia in 1471, Casi- mir became the heir apparent. At the age of 13, Casimir participated in the failed military campaign to install him as King of Hungary. He became known for his piety, devo- tion to God, and generosity towards the sick and poor. He became ill (most likely with tuberculosis) and died at the age of 25. He was buried in Cathedral and his cult grew. His was initiated by his brother King in 1514 and the tradition holds that he was canonized in 1521 Message to our Parishioners: During this difficult time of the COVID-19 pandemic our Church depends on your support to continue its ministry and providing to the community. Our parish is dependent upon the weekly or monthly offertory collection (for maintenance, utili- ties and needs of the church). We are grateful for your continued financial support while our collections are significantly affected. Please continue to mail in your weekly offertory donations to the parish, or by con- necting with us through the online giving link: www.scbchurchsac.org/onlinegiving. Thank you and God bless you!

This month will have the opportunity to walk with others as Jesus asks us to do. Together as Catholics, we extend our hand to those who need help. We assist them beyond dire circumstances and to begin again, refreshed and renewed. As our communities overcome the paralyzing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, let us accompany those in physical and emotional poverty. Each of our gifts, no matter the amount, really do make a difference in someone’s life. Please prayerfully consider what you can give this year.

Prayer of the Faithful For our sisters and brothers in the Diocese of Sacramento…may the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary bring to us the wisdom of her son Jesus as we consider our partici- pation in the Annual Catholic Appeal, we pray… …Lord, hear our prayer.
