Project management is said to be derived from the U.S. Department of Defense’s efforts to systematize the management methods for purpose of administering large-scale projects including those in national defense and aerospace. These systematized management methods were further developed and expanded to manufacturing, construction, engineering, and chemical industries. In 1969, a series of discussions among three men at The Three Threes Restaurant, which used to be a small, intimate gathering place just a few blocks from City Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, lead to a formation of the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a professional organization with a membership base, comprised of project management practitioners. PMI celebrated the 50th anniversary of its foundation in 2019. PMI published its first standard, called “A Guide to the Project Management Body Of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide),” in 1987. Revisions are completed every four years with the collaboration of devoted and committed volunteers. The latest sixth edition was published in September of 2017. As of today, the project management standard, issued by PMI, has been put in practice as the global standard for project management in various fields all over the world. PMI JAPAN CHAPTER PMI’s representative chapter in Japan was first established in 1998 as the PMI Tokyo Chapter and was later renamed to the PMI Japan Chapter in 2009. The chapter operates with a number of stakeholders for the purposes of promoting and advancing the knowledge of project management. In 2018, the chapter had celebrated its 20th anniversary of formation.

When man's family size increased, its members migrated in different directions. Mutations, natural selection and genetic drift played their roles in bringing about differentiation. Hunter and gatherer gradually became an organised and mechanized man. As man's family continued to increase, conflicts arose. Some of the conflicts turned into wars. The climax came when atomic bombs were dropped at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Devastation was unparalleled. But there was a lesson to learn: If discretion was not used, human specis could become extinct. After all, man belongs only to one family. Why destroy it! Kei Keibooks P O Box 516 Elkton, MD 21903 www.atlaspoetica.org [email protected] Introduction I began the Bibliography of English–Language Tanka in 2006 as a finding aid for myself as I researched tanka literature. At the time there were only a few bibliographies (Rosenow, Higginson, American Tanka) and they were heavy on translations from the Japanese. Some reading lists were also out there; later the Recommended Reading List for Tanka Studies would be developed by the short–lived but influential Tanka Roundtable moderated by Denis M. Garrison. It rapidly became apparent that the field of English–language tanka publication was both old and large— far older and larger than was generally assumed at the time. I began by sharing the Bibliography in an informal way with colleagues, then organized it into a more formal presentation. The name and format evolved with the material. Finding information is both time–consuming and tedious. Each time I work on it I attempt to improve accuracy, thoroughness, and readability. Nonetheless, many of the sources are tertiary, incomplete, or erroneous, so in spite of my best efforts to track down canonical information, errors are likely. Corrections and additions are appreciated. Users are advised to verify the information from their own sources where possible when using it. The Bibliography now includes periodical information, as well as books, chapbooks, websites, musical works, and other media.

Auch die Steinbildhauerei hat sich innerhalb dieser Zeit verändert, nach innen und nach außen hin. Ihre Reputation, die in Österreich vor allem während der Generation der Wotrubaschüler eine glänzende war, hat dicke Patina angesetzt.Von Steinskulptur will der zeitgenössische Kunstbetrieb wenig wissen, ihre logistischen Probleme und ein kleiner Käuferkreis legen auch den privaten Galerien andere Medien nahe. Ihre frühere Aufgabenstellung bei Kunst am Bau oder bei Monumentsetzungen ist kaum noch der Rede oder eines Auftrags wert. Im Gegensatz dazu darf man eine Lust am Stein durchaus dort konstatieren, wo es um seinen angewandten Einsatz geht. Naturstein kommt verstärkt und in hoher Güte wieder bei Fassadengestaltungen, Böden, Bädern, öffentlichen Plätzen usw. zum Einsatz. Und ungebrochen bleibt die Faszination des Steins auch als Material für eine künstlerische Realisierung.Was sich verändert hat, sind allerdings die Protagonisten der Steinbildhauerei und ihre Herangehensweisen. Der klassische Zugang mit Hammer und Meißel ist mittlerweile genauso selten anzutreffen wie ihr lange bestimmendes Thema der Figur. Auch das abstrakte Formenrepertoire steht nicht mehr in ihrem Zentrum. Es sind vielmehr Raumbezüge, Landart-Setzungen, industrielle Zitate, materialimmanente Lösungen,Werkzeugausreizungen, konzeptuelle und sogar dialogische Verwendungen, die die Steinbildhauerei heute bestimmen.
