Safari Club International (SCI) is the world’s leader in protecting the freedom to hunt and in promoting wildlife conservation.
The SCI record book of trophy animals is an all-inclusive record-keeping system documenting the world’s hunting heritage. The scoring system is the most universally recognized worldwide. It recognizes typical and non typical animals and both free range and estate taken animals, within different categories.
“If nature grows it, we score it” is the philosophy that gives each animal full credit for the antler or horn mass that it grew. NO deductions are enforced penalizing animals for asymmetry in the SCI scoring system.
The SCI record is a dynamic documentation of trophies submitted to date. SCI records are ranked, and approved changes are automatically updated as they become submitted. Potentially, every ranking could change nightly. Medal benchmarks also change on a regular basis. The NZTH price list is based on benchmarks at a set point in time.

NZTH has certified SCI master and official measurers within its staff.
NZTH is also experienced in various other forms of trophy assessment: CIC and Douglas scoring or kilogram pricing on request.
SCORING IN THE FIELD: Your guide will assess the trophy score of your animal before a shot is made.
If your animal scores less than the indicated score, NZTH will reduce the trophy fee to applicable level indicated by the price list.
If your animal scores higher than the guide’s assessment, you pay no more than the price applicable to the guide’s assessment.
