Now, after achieving five number one hits and two Brit awards, they are going their separate ways. The group are currently in the studio working on their final album - Goodbye; The Greatest Hits. Goodbye; The Greatest Hits Tour will be the last time that we will perform together as a 4. But first they will headline one final Rays of Sunshine Concert which is set to be the best yet. Olly Murs Olly Murs, one of the most successful pop stars of the past decade and a proud ambassador of Rays of Sunshine. In just three years, he’s crafted three albums which have produced four No 1 singles (including the platinum-selling Dance With Me Tonight and latest no.1 smash hit Troublemaker ft. Flo Rida), and a further three Top 20 hits. First album Olly Murs (2010) has gone double-platinum and second album In Case You Didn’t Know (2011) is at almost triple-platinum sales. Along with Ed Sheeran and Example, Olly is the only recent male solo star with a sell-out headline arena tour to his name, as well as becoming a fixture on the main stage of many festivals. His new album Right Place Right Time shot to the top of the albums chart immediately on release – giving Olly the biggest week one sales by a male artist in 2012! Olly also managed the rare feat of being top of the albums and singles chart simultaneously when Troublemaker hit the top spot for a second week. Kimberley Walsh 1/5 of Girls Allowed Kimberley Walsh released Centre Stage in February, her first solo music release after working in acting, television presenting, and theatre. It consists of covers of songs from popular musical theatre and musical films, a passion which Walsh has wished to pursue since she was just three years old, as well as two brand new songs. Centre Stage also features duets with fellow performers Louise Dearman and Ronan Keating. Flawless Flawless were described by Simon Cowell on Britain's Got Talent as “One of the best things I have ever seen in my life … not just the best dance group I have ever seen, it’s one of the greatest acts I have ever seen in my life.” Page 2 Formed in 2005, the group entered Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 to show that Britain has got talented dance groups that are better than the Americans. The guys particularly want to inspire children from problem communities to channel their aggression and energy into something positive Angel Already well-known on the underground scene thanks to a handful of mixtapes and his own YouTube channel (8 million views and counting), Angel is about to not only go overground, but stratospheric. This year has seen Angel go from strength to strength having notched up an impressive list of notable fans along the way from JLS, Tinie Tempah and Example through to Rio Ferdinand, Cheryl Cole and One Direction (who Angel supported at iTunes Festival). Angel has also caused a stir on the live circuit, delivering show-stopping performances at Wireless and V Festival while debut single ‘Wonderful’ became a huge summer anthem last year spending 8 weeks in the top 20, 2 weeks in the top 10 and selling over 250,000 copies to date, firmly cementing Angel’s position as one of the top 5 highest selling breakthrough acts of 2012. Charlie Brown London-based Charlie Brown is a singer, song-writer with an already sterling catalogue of collaborations. Having started his career as a writer, Charlie Brown’s soulful melodies and pop-sensibilities quickly provided him with an exciting reputation, and a highly sought-after name. In December 2012, he was asked to join Dappy on his UK tour, playing to thousands of fans nationwide. And it was these fans that helped propel Charlie to #7 in the UK Singles Chart with his debut release ‘On My Way’ in 2013. Ruff Diamond Ruff Diamond are one of the freshest, most unique Streetdance crews to burst onto the UK scene. Combining gravity defying stunts with slick, powerful choreography, the 6 strong group of boys are guaranteed to electrify any audience and fill any room with an infectious energy. Seen most recently on Sky One’s ‘Got To Dance’ Series 4, Ruff Diamond were described by Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt as ‘One of the best street act performances I have seen in my life’. Diversity front man Ashley Banjo added that they were ‘Up there with the absolute best that’s ever been on that stage’. • Sennheiser 2019 BRIT Awards
PRESS RELEASE 1/4 2019 BRIT AWARDS Sennheiser Performs Through Fire and Rain London/Wedemark, 13 March 2019 – The 2019 BRIT Awards were once again supported by Sennheiser, with its mics and IEMs delivering on the UK’s biggest live music awards show. The audio package was supplied - for the 22nd year - by Britannia Row Productions, and the ceremony was held in late-February at London’s O2 Arena in celebration of the best in British and international pop music. Winners on the night included Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Drake, Little Mix and Nicki Minaj. As well as the show’s presenters, the evening also saw performances using a combination of Sennheiser products, including those from Hugh Jackman, Ms Banks and P!NK, who won the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Music’ award. “On a show of this size, ease and continuity are very important,” says Colin Pink, long-time Sound Designer / BRITs Engineer. “For all the presenters and award winners, we used the Sennheiser 6000 Series Handhelds with ME 9005 capsules, the perfect choice when clarity and low handling noise are extremely important.” P!NK using a Sennheiser 6000 Series transmitter with a 9235 capsule for her performance P!NK’s much-deserved accolade was boosted by a highly anticipated closing set that lasted over 11 minutes. The production saw the US singer’s incredible vocal range transmit from backstage through the arena’s thick, concrete walls, descend from the venue’s roof in a gymnastic gag, sound out through pyrotechnics and hit perfect notes during rainfall. PRESS RELEASE 2/4 Colin continues: “P!NK sang seamlessly in the rain using her 6000 Series transmitter with 9235 capsule – a true testament to the quality of both the design and manufacturing standards at Sennheiser.” “The 9235 capsule on the 9000 or 6000 Series is more than just my 'go to’ vocal mic, it has proven itself repeatedly with Cher, Adele and P!NK since the launch of digital transmission systems,” comments Dave Bracey, P!NK’s FOH Engineer.
