In response to requests to have a digital download for this qualification, Pearson will no longer issue a CD with the exam papers. The tracks for the Pearson BTEC Firsts Level 1/Level 2 in Music Unit 8: Music and Production Analysis Exam will now only be available for download from the Secure Tests website from the January 2021 exam date forwards. Tracks for download will not be available on the main qualifications pages due to copyright restrictions, but a full track reference can be found at the end of this document and will be added to exam papers from January 2021. Please note we cannot supply a CD to centres for any past papers as we do not keep stocks. Tracks will be available here. Your Examinations Officer will need to enter their username and password in order to download this secure material. Since the tracks are secure exam material, the Exams Officer may transfer the tracks onto a portable medium, or supervise the secure process under exam conditions, 48 hours before the exam date. Centres are reminded that there are potential risks to stereo field identification and to the accuracy of specified timings in questions if the format is changed from the download provided. Centres should ensure that the stereo integrity is maintained when they transfer the tracks to a device. On the morning of the exam, centres may transfer the tracks to a protected folder which only learners in the exam may access. Learners will need an individual copy of both tracks, correctly labelled. Centres are reminded that it is their responsibility to ensure that the tracks are used for exam purposes only and therefore removed from all devices once the exam is finished. Please read the Pearson copyright policy on our website if you need further information.
