I’m also very pleased to report that the Foundation’s investment advisors, as directed by the Investment Committee of the Board of Directors, continue to manage our portfolio with a conservative investment philosophy. The Investment Committee meets with the advisors on a quarterly basis and more frequently as warranted. As you will see in 4 LEGACY SOCIETY

The Broadcasters Foundation of America launched the Legacy Society, an initiative to ensure its ability to help broadcast colleagues in the future. As of December 31, 2019, the Foundation board members and supporters committed in excess of $6,300,000 in their estate plans

2019 Golden Mike Award March 6, 2019 The Plaza Hotel, New York City The 2019 Broadcasters Foundation of America Golden Mike Award was presented to Nexstar Media Group’s Perry A. Sook at a black-tie fundraiser to beneﬁt the Foundation’s mission of helping broadcasters in need. More than 300 radio and television industry executives and celebrities were in attendance for the event. The gala was hosted by Craig Melvin of NBC News’ TODAY and MSNBC. The evening’s presenters were Gordon Smith, President & CEO of the NAB, Joe Ianniello, President of CBS Corp (via video) and Dr. Sandy Sook. The ceremony featured a performance from country superstar duo Sugarland. The event raised $450,000 for radio and television broadcasters in need.
