I. GENERAL INFORMATION

1. International Muaythai Championship 2013 is the first international level championship to be held in Bali by Indonesian Muaythai Federation in order to scout for potential athletes, especially the best young and primary potentials. It also acted as a performance’s evaluation for the existing athletes in order to strengthen the present team. The objective of this championship match will be able to provide experience and also to improve the present Muaythai Indonesian athletes’ performance at International level in order to face the XXVII SEA Games in Myanmar in 2013. 2. Muaythai is very potential opportunity to create industry, tourism and anti- terrorism activities. Sports tourism is a relatively a new concept as it includes two different industries, namely sports and tourism. In a wider scope, sports tourism is defined as an activity trip to one place for a limited time or while participating in sports activities, watching sports tournament or visiting famous sports sites. 3. Implementation of this championship will also held in commemoration of Kesaktian Day, Anniversary of , and Sumpah Pemuda Day where sport act as one of the means to reinforce and strengthen the unity of the nation and the state.

III. PURPOSE AND GOAL

1. To build friendships with other nations of the World. 2. The purpose and goal of this event is to introduce Muaythai as new sport in Indonesia as well as a media for Degradations and Promotions of the national atheletes in preparation for the best Muaythai Indonesian team in preparation for the XXVII SEA Games 2013 in Myanmar. 3. In order to celebrate Kesaktian Pancasila Day, Anniversary of Indonesian Army, and also Sumpah Pemuda Day in 2013. 4. Promote activities against drugs and terrorism.

5. To improve Indonesia economic of tourism especially in Bali.

VI. INDONESIA OPEN INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Rules and Regulations: The Competition Rules and Regulations will run in accordance with to the following organisations: World Muay Federation, (W.M.F.) and Asian Muay Federation, (A.M.F.) Each National Federation or Country or Camp/club, can send maximum 2 teams and in each team must be only 1 boxer in each class and then all Professional fight will be follow WMF Pro Regulations All participating countries must have International Insurance for all members of their teams. This insurance must cover Them while they are in Indonesia.

VII. THE CUP OF CONTEST

Medal & Diploma will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each class. Best Wai Kru and Best Boxer (technique) will be awarded with Special Trophy Teams of country who get most gold and medal will be awarded with Special Trophy 1. IX. REGISTRATION FEE

For everyone attending the championships (Including Officials – Athletes & Guests) will be charged at USD 200 /team and USD 50 for each Athletes /class. This covers the cost of transportation to & from the airport and include the welcome party along with ID Cards, volunteers, sport tourism, support team and a participation certificate for athletes.

XI. ACCOMODATION AND MEAL Room Arrangement

 All participants will be lodged at hotel which is provided by organizer.  1 Room for 1, 2 or 3 persons.  Participants must comply with the rule and regulations set by the hotel management.  To report any damages to LO once the participants check in to the rooms.  Use of local or international calls in the room by the participant will be own expenses.  Mini bar in the hotel room under personal expenses.

Meals Arrangement

All meals will be borned by the organizer. All meals will be serving in buffet and to be consumed in the hotels. The stipulated meals time are as follows:

Breakfast : 06:00 – 10:30 Lunch : 12:00 – 14.00 Dinner : 18:30 – 20:30

Participants must produce the Accreditation Card whenever they consume their meals. Room service meals and any meals or drinks consume not in the stipulated meals hours will be on personal account. Please inform the organizer in advance if there should be vegetarian food need to be catered. All participating delegates in the International championship must obligatory stay at the official organizing committee.

 How to secure your accommodation and related services You are advised to secure your accommodation ahead of time. All participating hotels are briefed and ready to serve you. However, should you have a particular need or requirement (health, dietary, interest, etc) please let them know in advance and fill out form On-line reservation is closed on 15th September 2013. Availability of rooms will not be guaranteed. Walk-in method, or on-site booking is not recommended.

2. How to book We use single window for registration and accreditation for all personnel; that is through our website (www.Muaythai.or.id). In order to secure and guarantee accommodation and its related services (airport transfer, shuttle, hospitality services, media center access and logistic,etc) you must fill out the form and book by sending emails to : [email protected] / [email protected]

3. Who are eligible? The participating hotels are exclusive for delegates, officials, athletes, or the guests, journalists and institutions that is coming for International Muaythai Championship only.

4. How do you secure your room’s availability? You will be required to pay your room reservation fully (the entire period of your stay) in advance and a confirmation number will be issued and sent by email to you. Upon arrival in Bali, consult our Service Desk at the airport and the hotels’ airport representative will assist and take you to your hotels. Airport transfer is free of charge.

No refund policy is applied but, other options you can endorse your room and accommodation, and a USD 25 administration charge will be applied.

One US$ is approximately Rp 10.000,-

XII. TRANSPORTATION SERVICE

Shuttle bus will be arranged from Ngurah Rai International airport to the official hotel and from the official hotel to the venue. Please ensure that you have mentioned the flight details clearly. Shuttle bus from hotel to venue and from venue to hotel is provided based on schedule which has been arranged. For shuttle schedule information, you may consult our hospitality desk at the hotel. Please make sure you provide your flight details, arrival information and number personnel in your group staying at the same hotel. You may want to appoint one person in your group as your Liaison officer with your hotel

XIII. VISA

The Organizing Committee can assist participating teams requesting for issuances of entry visas in to Ngurah Rai International Airport. This form must be provided to Organizing Committee no later than September 15, 2013. After this day, the committee will not be responsible for your immigration procedures. If there is no Indonesia Embassy/Consulate General in your country, you will be obtained entry visas at the Ngurah Rai Airport upon your arrival. For certain nationals, it is necessary to obtain visa entry

to Indonesia. Please, find enclose Entry form D1 and D2 for those countries needing official invitation for Visas. List team VISA Application, please sent to : [email protected]

XVI. ABOUT BALI

Bali is a land that seems to have a magnet at its very heart. It is a feeling that is difficult to understand unless experienced but once visited you are surely compelled to come back and you may even want to stay forever, such is its pull. Maybe its Bali’s beauty, maybe the friendly people, or maybe even the influence from spirits that certainly abide in this place.

Bali goes under many names. Some call it the ‘island of the gods’, others Shangri-La. The ‘last paradise’, the ‘dawning of the world’ and the ‘centre of the universe’ are yet more names for this truly beautiful tropical island inhabited by a remarkably artistic people who have created a dynamic society with unique arts and ceremonies.

Bali is small, just 140 Km by 80 Km and lies between Java, the most highly populated and influential of all the islands, and Lombok, one of the quieter and moderately slower paced islands. Like many islands, Bali has developed a world of its own. It not only captures what is special about Indonesia but also has a uniqueness of its own.

Daily life on Bali is culturally linked to satisfying and appeasing the gods, spirits and demons in the midst of breathtaking panoramas of cultivated rice terraces, impressive volcanoes and pristine beaches. Bali’s main volcano, Gunung Agung, is still active and sometimes explosive and is considered sacred among local people as it is believed to be the centre of the universe.

Lying just 8o south of the Equator, Bali can boast a tropical climate with just two seasons a year and an average temperature of around 28o Celsius. It has a whole range of different environments and activities for the tourist, many of which are covered in these homepages.

Economically and culturally, Bali is one of the most important islands of Indonesia. Rice is grown on irrigated, terraced hillsides; other crops include sugar cane, coffee, copra, tobacco, fruits and

vegetables. Cattle and hogs are also raised. The Balinese are skilled artisans, particularly in woodcarving and in fashioning objects of tortoiseshell and of gold, silver and other metals. The Balinese are noted for their traditional dance, the distinctive music of the and for their skills in weaving cloth of gold and silver threads, , as well as for embroidering silk and cotton clothing.

Bali of today is one of the thirty three provinces of the Republic of Indonesia, divided administratively between eight districts that take their names and boundaries from the island’s old Hindu kingdoms.

Kuta Beach

The beach is located in Kuta Bali is said to have the best view of Sunset in the world, has so temapt tours since the 70s. Many foreigners traveled here. Kuta Beach is located in Badung regency, about 1.5 km from Ngurah Rai Airport takes about 5 minutes while from Denpasar city, can be reached 20.

Dream Land

This beautiful beach surrounded by high cliffs and there is a fairly large rock around the coast. Dreamland beach is quite secluded location, located within the complex Pecatu Graha Bali (Kuta Golf Links Resort) which can be taken approximately 30 minutes from Kuta beach.

Tanah Lot

Tanah Lot is well known as a popular tourist attraction in Bali. The location is at the Village Beraban, Kediri district, Tabanan regency. From a pretty good distance Tabana city about 13 miles to the west. While if we are out of Ngurah Rai Airport it only takes about 1 hour if not obstructed traffic..

BEDUGUL

Bedugul is a mountain lake resort area in Bali, Indonesia, located in the centre-north region of the island near Lake Bratan on the road between Denpasar and Singaraja. Bedugul is located at 48 kilometres north of the city of Denpasar

Kintamani

This beautiful beach surrounded by high cliffs and there is a fairly large rock around the coast. Dreamland beach is quite secluded location, located within the complex Pecatu Graha Bali (Kuta Golf Links Resort) which can be taken approximately 30 minutes from Kuta beach.

Pura Uluwatu

This tourist spot is located on top of a cliff, is located at an altitude of about 97 meters above sea level. For tourists who visit this temple will be spoiled with views of the vast expanse of the Indian Ocean with a beautiful wave. In addition, visitors can also enjoy the beautiful sunset (Sunset). Not only that, tourists will also be treated to a traditional Balinese dance, the Kecak Uluwatu. This dance is played by the dancers 50-100.

Ubud

Ubud is located in Gianyar regency is known for its art, culture can dikatan as a center of art and carving in Bali. Location Ubud if taken from Denpasar airport is approximately 40 kilometers, approximately 1.5 hours.

GWK ( Wisnu Kencana)

GWK stands Garuda Wisnu Kencana. GWK itself is a symbol of the god Vishnu statue that stands on a hill with a height of 20 meters Unggasan. The tourists will dimanajkan with views at sunrise and sunset.

XIV. SEMINAR & COURSE REFEREE - JUDGES

The organizers have also arranged for special official course for Referees and Judges under Mr. Chinawut Sirisompan and Mr. Pradith other Technical officials from Thailand.

Referees and judges courses: The Institute of Muaythai conservation and (A.M.F) have arranged for Referees and Judges Camp and Seminar will be renewing the licenses and issuing fresh licenses for referees after the seminar and camp.
