The terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 claimed seven of Ttheir number, and soon after that many fire- fighters at Engine 202, Ladder 101 in Red Hook began to retire, or were promoted and moved on. Today at the station on Richards Street, three fire- fighters remain who were working in Red Hook when two hijacked jets slammed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center. As the 10th anniversary of the attacks approaches this month, what they want is for people to remember what they can’t forget. “You still think about the guys literally like it was yesterday.
