Banknock, Falkirk
Population 2,376 Banknock on the Bonny Water in Falkirk Council area was originally a mining town. It proximity to the Forth and Clyde canal was important. Other industries included a foundry and distillery but these are now closed. Increasingly it has become a commuter town with low density private housing developments.
