la casa nera, “Zwart Huis” é stata costruita nel 1924 dall’architetto Huib Hoste, per il Dottor De Beir. la casa é molto rivoluzionaria per i suoi tempi ed é un bell’esempio del modernismo in Belgio. l’architetto Huib Hoste era stato ispirato dal gruppo olandese “De Stijl”. la casa nera “Zwart Huis” é stata classificata come monumento protetto nel gennaio 2000. Dall’aprile del 2001, la casa é una galleria d’arte contemporanea e del mobile moderno, completamente arredata con pezzi originali A lIVAR.
The black house, “Zwart Huis” was built in 1924 by the architect Huilb Hoste for Doctor de Beir. This house was very revolutionary for the time and it is a great example of modernism in Belgium. The architect Huib Hoste was inspired by the dutch movement “De Stijl”. The black house, “Zwart Huis” has been classified as sheltered monument in year 2000. Since april 2001 the house is a gallery for contemporary art and modern furniture, completely furnished with original A lIVAR products.

Dal 13 settembre al 30 novembre 1997, presso il maximilian-Park di Hamm, si é celebrata la fondazione del bauhaus di Dessau con una mostra sulla storia e sul presente della leggendaria scuola d’arte. Alivar ha collaborato arredando con i suoi prodotti gli spazi espositivi. Alivar, che produce la più ampia e completa coll triale così come per la filosofia del bauhaus.
From 13th September to 30th november 1997 has taken place, at the maximilan Park in Hamm, to commemorate the foundation of the bauhaus of Dessau, an exhibition of the history and current activities of the legendary art school, with the co-operation of Alivar in the furnishing of the exhibition area with their products. Alivar, who produces the most extensive range of modern classics available on the international market, has been chosen for this initiative due to the care and professionalism which has always shown in the formal study of
industrial design as well as the philosophy of bauhaus.
