MEMORANDA. On the twenty-first day of October, 1918, the Right Honourable Sir Charles Fitzpatrick, Knight, one of His Majesty's most Honourable Privy Council, resigned the office of Chief Justice of Canada.
On the twenty-third day of October,' 1918, the Honour- able Sir Louis Henry Davies, Knight, one of the Puisne Judges of the Supreme Court of Canada, was appointed Chief Justice of Canada, in the room and stead of the Right Honourable Sir Charles Fitzpatrick, resigned.
On the twenty-fifth day of October, 1918, Pierre Basile Mignault, one of His Majesty's Counsel, learned in the law, was appointed a Puisne Judge of the Supreme Court of Canada, in the room and stead of the Honourable Sir Louis Henry Davies, appointed Chief Justice of Canada.
On the first day of January, 1919, the Honourable Sir Louis Henry Davies, Chief Justice of Canada, and the Honourable Lyman Poore Duff, one o£ the Puisne Judges of the Supreme Court of Canada, were appointed members of His Majesty's most Honourable Privy Council.
