Morphees are self-actuated flexible mobile devices that can change shape on demand to better fit the services they need to support.

For example, users could download a game application and the mobile would morph into a console-like shape. Understanding chronic fatigue syndrome Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a debilitating condition that affects around 250,000 people in the UK. It’s a condition that leaves patients feeling utterly exhausted but the reason why remains unclear.

Research carried out by Jade Thai, Senior Research Fellow and manager of the University’s Clinical Research and Imaging Centre (CRIC Bristol), aims to get a clearer understanding of the cognitive impairment often associated with CFS.

A group of 15 people with CFS were asked to undertake a variety of simple tasks while an MRI scanner scanned their brains.
