Major changes to train services over Christmas & New Year Southern will operate a revised service from 24 December 2013 to 1 January 2014

KEY No Trains Buses replace trains Alternative Gatwick services All other routes Major changes to train services over Christmas & New Year Gatwick Express services will not run from 25 December 2013 to 1 January 2014 A revised Southern train and rail replacement bus service will operate between London and Gatwick Airport between 26 December 2013 and 1 January 2014. A summary by day is set out below. If you plan to travel during this time, please allow extra time for your journey. The revised service will allow Network Rail to undertake vital improvement work at three locations on the network - replacing a major rail junction near Purley (north of Gatwick Airport), upgrading signalling at London Victoria and working on a new platform at Gatwick Airport station. Wednesday 25 Dec 2013 (Christmas Day) No service. Thursday 26 Dec 2013 (Boxing Day) No rail service from / to London Victoria. However, Southern trains will run every 30 minutes between London Bridge and East Grinstead calling at East Croydon. A frequent connecting bus will run between East Grinstead and Gatwick Airport. This journey will take approximately 90 minutes. Friday 27 Dec 2013 to Wednesday 1 Jan 2014 inclusive Southern trains will run every 30 minutes between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport. This journey will take approximately 95 minutes and call additionally at Clapham Junction, Sutton, Dorking, Horsham and Three Bridges. Thursday 2 Jan 2014 Gatwick Express services will run as normal.
