FLOOD RECOVERY After the historic flooding and widespread damage across the state, the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) has identified several flood recovery projects in District 2 that must be completed to restore transportation assets and the mobility of the traveling public. Due to the emergency nature of these projects, their completion may be given precedence over the district’s previously scheduled projects.

HWY 31 SCHRAMM ROAD; ER-31-2(115), C.N. 22776 This proposed project would involve restoring the roadway embankment of Nebraska Highway 31 (N-31) and stabilizing the river bank of the 91 Blair south of the Schramm Park State Recreation Area in 30 Sarpy County, NE. HWY 275 WEST CENTER; ER-275-7(204), C.N. 22777 This project consists of the replacement and lengthening of the bridge structure over the Elkhorn River on U.S. Highway 275 (US- 275), including a pavement inlay on both sides of the bridge structure to provide a smooth transition from the new structure to the existing pavement. Construction is anticipated to be completed by July 2019. This section of US-275 would remain closed during construction, and traffic will continue to be detoured per the posted signs.

HWY 30 BETWEEN FREMONT AND ARLINGTON; NH-30-6(37) C.N. 22566 This project involved restoring the roadway and shoulder embankment and pavement of U.S. Highway 30 (US 30) in Dodge County NE between Fremont and Arlington. Construction was completed June 14, 2019 and is now open to traffic.

HWY 91 EAST OF NICKERSON; STWD0169 This project involved restoring the roadway embankment and pavement sections along approximately 1.5 miles of Nebraska Highway 91 (N-91) in Dodge County NE east of Nickerson. Construction occurred from March 21 to June 14, 2019 and is now open to traffic.
