Division II Softball College World Series last week in Denver, Colo. Javelina Hash By Fred Nuesch, Coordinator of Athletic External Affairs OUTSTANDING. FANTASTIC. AWESOME. There isn’t an appropriate adjective to describe the Javelina softball team this season. It will go down in the rich Javelina athletic legacy as one of the best campaigns ever. The squad moved through the Lone Star Conference , LSC postseason tournament, NCAA Division II South Central Region and South Central Super Region undefeated and reached the championship series in the Softball College World Series. And all of this done with a roster that includes four seniors, four juniors, five sophomores and 13 freshmen. Thanks head coach Craig Nicholson, assistant coach Justin Jewis, graduate assistant coach Melina Sanchez, student assistant coach Sarah Gilbert and all of the Javelinas for a campaign to remember.
